Our 501(c)3 Organization Island Cat Feral Rescue, Inc. was founded to further the advancement of animal welfare by preventing cruelty to animals - we serve as a resource on humane and effective management of feral cat colony populations and TNR.
We are a No-Kill animal rescue and resource organization dedicated to reducing the number of stray and feral cats facing euthanasia in shelters. Our mission is focused in Saint Johns County, Florida - we provide information on the worldwide web.

ICFR is a support and resource network for TNR - Trap, Neuter, Return and adoption programs. Our goal is to assist as an information resource and liasion for feral cat colony caretakers, volunteers, foster caregivers, those providing medical oversight and all other individuals and agencies interested in advancing the quality of life for feral cats.
ICFR serves the community as a place to list Lost & Found stray cats (and dogs). We do not have a shelter to take in feral, stray or abandoned animals - we can only refer you to local groups that have adoption programs at this time. It is a known fact that a small percentage of lost pets are reunited with their owners. We welcome Veterinarians, pet stores, animal control agencies and individuals to CONTACT US to list lost or found cats so we can reduce the numbers entering shelters and facing possible death.
ICFR supports spay/neuter as the only non lethal solution to prevention of cat overpopulation. See our links page for agencies providing spay / neuter programs in this area. We do not have a shelter to take in feral, stray or abandoned animals - we can only refer you to local groups that have adoption programs at this time.
ICFR will serve as a community education resource on the practice of TNR - Trap - Neuter - Return in order to gain more acceptance of this process in the Saint Johns County area. We hope to increase public awareness by educating the community on the necessity and benefits of community subsidization of sterilization for cat owners who are unable to afford those costs. We believe the community is the key in finding a way to fund this crucial component of TNR.
